The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is the administrative agency for the commonwealth’s public schools. The VDOE works in partnership with Virginia’s 132 school divisions to support and improve teaching and learning, set high expectations for all students, and promote student safety, wellbeing, and health throughout Virginia’s 8 Superintendent’s Regions:

Although the VDOE does not hire teachers or other division employees, the VDOE is pleased to offer this site as a resource for those seeking educator jobs throughout Virginia.  Users can search for specific types of jobs across a range of school divisions and can sign up for job alerts to be automatically notified of new job postings that meet their criteria.  Whether you’re interested in being an instructional assistant, special education teacher, bus driver, or principal, you may find this site helpful!

Please note that not all 132 school divisions use this site to post their open positions.  Beyond this site, users who are especially interested in a particular division should visit that division’s webpage for more division-specific information on career opportunities.
